Each burrito carries the same beans and Mexican rice recipes that helped build our family tradition. We build burritos with recipes, history, and authentic flavor you can taste in every bite.
THE LEGEND OF THE GREEN SADDLE
If you could taste our history in a single dish, it would be the Green Saddle burrito. One of Grandma Lola's most loved creations, this local favorite is packed with green chile con carne, wrapped in a homemade flour tortilla, then smothered with more green chile and melted Monterey Jack cheese.
The Letter D Plate is comfort at its finest: a handmade beef tamale smothered in red chile con carne, paired with Mexican rice, refried beans, and a cheese enchilada topped with our signature green chile sauce. It's bold, flavorful, and built on recipes passed down since 1949.
Tuesday through Saturday from 2 PM to 6 PM, stop by for nachos, chili cheese fries topped with red chile con carne, guacamole dip, quesadillas, beer, wine, and margaritas. Bring a friend or treat yourself - happy hour at El Charro is built for sharing.
